Who is Americh? I have never heard of them.
Americh is today, one of the oldest manufacturers of whirlpool
baths and shower bases in the industry, and was started in 1982. Americh also manufacturers bathtubs for other
national plumbing companies. Americh maintains geographical shipping advantages, by maintaining production
facilities on the west and east coast. Americh offers bathing tubs, whirlpool baths, airbath tubs, and shower bases

My bathtub/whirlpool/airbath tub leaves a brown or orange ring after using it, and I do not get this in any other fixture in my house.
Is this a defect, and how do I eliminate it.
The good news is that this is easily correctable, and it is not a bathtub problem.
This residue comes from your hot water heater. Unless your heater is periodically flushed, even after a new installation, sediment accumulates in the bottom of
your water heater. Your new bathtub, probably uses more water than all your other fixtures, and allows the heater to purge the bottom, bringing up
some of its contaminates. If you unscrew your tub fillers aerator, you will see some debris. Also, if you fill the tub normally, through a white paper coffee filter,
you will notice this residue occurring near the final filling stage.
To correct this, you simply need to thoroughly flush your heater. Turn off the water supply, and drain through its valve. When empty, leave the valve open, and turn on the water.
This will flush any remaining debris out. I personally flush mine at least once a year.
What is the difference between an airbath tub, and a whirlpool tub?
To explain it simple, a whirlpool pushes water, and an airbath pushes air !
A whirlpool tub tubs uses a pump, which mixes air and water and circulates this through a series of jets. This is more invigorating as water is being pumped through multiple jets to the bathers body. You may however, request a multiple speed pump, and have 3 levels of power.
An airbath tub uses a heated air blower. Americh offers 2 types of airbaths.
The airbath is a more relaxing bath as soothing heated air bubbles are raised from under the bather.
Americh offers a whirlpool and airbath separate, or as a combo package.

What is the difference in a whirlpool and a Jacuzzi?
Jacuzzi is a manufacturer of whirlpool baths.
The name Jacuzzi has mistakenly developed a generic meaning, such as Kleenex or Jello.
Will the colors from Americh match my other fixtures?
Absolutely! Although different materials may sometimes take on a different shading,
such as a plastic toilet seat on a china bowl, Americh buys its acrylic sheets and gelcoat from the same sources as your fixture
manufacturer. Americh will have all popular colors available, and can also develop custom colors as well.
Can I use soap in a whirlpool or airbath ?
Of course…however, remember the following 2 rules :
Your whirlpool pump acts like a giant mixer and a little bubble bath goes a long way … possibly out the door.
If you wish to take a whirlpool and bubble bath, we recommend that you take your whirlpool first, and then add your bubble
bath solution later. It won't take long to have a tub full of large bubbles!
Never use oil-based solutions. They will stick to the piping and collect hair, soap scum, and those ugly black-floating nasties.
A product such as JET FRESHTM added periodically will keep your bathing tub system clean inside and out.
Do I need to reinforce my floor for a larger whirlpool?
Generally not. Americh whirlpool baths are made out
of fiberglass- reinforced acrylic. These not only make our tubs strong, but about 75% lighter
than cast iron. The acrylic sheet finish will never need scrubbing and its permanent shine needs
only a damp soapy sponge to maintain its permanent shine.
Why should I use an acrylic showerbase?
For the same reason why you should use an acrylic tub. Low maintenance,
ease of installation, permanent luster, and an excellent non-slip surface.
Does Americh have a large selection?
One of, if not, the largest in the industry. Americh currently
has over 100 models and sizes of bathtubs, and over 33 sizes of shower bases. All of these are available in
dozens of colors and trim finishes.

Should you need certification numbers, Americh will be glad to issue them. Your installation instructions,
which are included with every tub or base, will list approvals.
